Ms. Ruby Inez Summitt

Ms. Ruby Inez Summitt, age 81, of Mount Ida, passed away February 16, 2014 in Hot Springs, AR. She was born March 1, 1932 to the late Lincoln and Ozzela Powell Abernathy in Sims, AR. She loved her kids and grandbabies, reading her bible and listening to southern gospel music. Her passion was watching NCIS.

Ms. Summitt is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Grover Summitt, son Bill Summitt, Great- Grandson Joseph Brooks and 3 sisters Grace Irons, Lorene Abernathy and Joyce Bates.
There will be a private viewing for family only. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Barber Cemetery in Sims at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Brian McKenna officiating. Pallbearers: James Abernathy, Elbert Abernathy, Brian McKay, William Smith, David and Aydyn Danial and Willie Smith. Honorary Pallbearers: Donnie Summitt, Dennis Summitt, Jerry Patton and June Bug. Special recognition to the women of the Montgomery County Nursing Home Auxiliary as well as all friends and loved ones. Arrangements were made under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home.
