Mr. William Carl Smith

William Carl Smith, age 75, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 in Hot Springs, AR. He was born August 14, 1938 in Oden to Frank and Audie (Forbes) Smith. He taught math at Oden High School for 18 years and then worked in real estate until he retired. A lifelong supporter of community activities, Carl was widely known for his willingness to fire up his smoker for these events.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, May 28th at 10 am at Oden Methodist Church with Bro. Fred Hunter and Bro. Andy Burks officiating. Interment will follow at Oden Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 27th from 6-8 pm at Thornton Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Carter Abernathy, Bob Smith, Claire Smith, Jeff Norwood, Lance Ellison and “Hoot” Hughes.
