    Carolyn Sanderson Tarkinton, age 66 of Glenwood, passed away February 1, 2015 at St. Vincent in Hot Springs. She is preceded in death by her husband Sherrell “Rodney” Tarkinton, both parents, and one brother John Sanderson Jr.

    Survived by:
    Sons: Josh Tarkinton and wife Kendra
    Paul Tarkinton

    Daughters: Diane Tigue and husband Chris
    Jessica Lay and husband Doug
    Kimberly Tarkinton
    Kala Tarkinton Van Horn and husband Jimmy

    Brothers: Louis Charles Sanderson
    James Ray Sanderson

    Sister in laws: Theresa Gossett and Husband Clem
    Jeannette Fryar

    Brother in law: Carol Tarkinton and wife Dena

    16 Grandchildren
    1 Great Grandchild
    Numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

    There will be a visitation Tuesday, February 3rd, 6-8 p.m. at Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida. Services will be Wednesday, February 4th at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Andy Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Pallbearers: Rodney Tigue, Derek Tarkinton, Kenneth Tacket, Russell Carmack, Neil Thomas and Christopher Sanderson. Arrangements were made under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mount Ida.

    So sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of Aunt Carolyn and of all the crazy times we had growing up. She will be missed. Prayers for God's peace during this time for you and the whole family.

    So sorry for your loss she was an awesome lady in my book I will miss her dearly I loved her so much we had lots of fun times together I thought of her often wished mine and my husbands health issues hadn't got in the way of beable to have visited her love and gona real miss her love , sandra broach

    It is so hard to think that this is where we are now. My memories are of much happier times. Back when we were younger and so full of life. It was like we couldn't even imagine getting older and surely not death. But God does indeed have a perfect plan for each one of us. All we have to do is accept him and life will be eternal. I pray that your family is surrounded by God's infinite love and mercy in this time of grief.

    Dear Mama nanny...i just happened to be browsing the Internet for my email and i seen your name in bold letters. I MISS YOU ,,JUST THE THOUGHT of you , immediately i cry out to you. U always were there fpr me NO MATTER WHAT.. Believed the very best and seen only good. When u passed iswore to God and to you that i WOULD NOT let it be on vain. U still are my motivation and still feel surrounded by your unconditional love . Even in death our bond is unbreakable, inseparable! ! I LOVE YOU MAMA NANNY!!!
