    Mr. Mike O’Neal, age 71, of Mount Ida, AR, started his life sunrise April 30, 2015 at the Montgomery County Nursing Home. He was born October 3, 1943 to the late Guy and Minnie O’Neal in Hot Springs, AR. He was a Methodist and attended church at Lake Ouachita Baptist Church. He was a self employed truck driver and enjoyed trucking, hunting and car racing. Mr. O’Neal enjoyed drinking coffee with his friends at the Lake Ouachita One Stop. He was a Charter member of the Volunteer South Fork Fire Center. He is preceded in death by his parents Guy and Minnie O’Neal, a Brother Jim O’Neal, and 2 Sisters Sue McLane and Wanda O’Neal.

    Wife: Paulette O’Neal of Mount Ida, AR

    Son: Greg O’Neal of Mount Ida, AR

    Brother: Charley and Kathy O’Neal of Mount Ida, AR

    Special Nieces: Michelle Lacefield of Mount Ida, AR and Carrie Parris of Mount Ida, AR

    Nephew: Scott O’Neal of Hoquim, WA

    Visitation will be held May 1, 2015 at Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida 6-8 p.m. Services will be May 2, 2015 at Lake Ouachita Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Ty Huitt Officiating. Pallbearers: Bob Sims, Charley Jones, Bill Jones, Eddie Jones, Hal Jones, Jack Jones and Sammy Jones. Honorary Pallbearers: Zachary Kesterson, Michael Kesterson, Christian Wilson, Terry and Karen Thompson, Leo and Dottie Harris, Leon Turage, Gerald Brazil, Clovis, Clois, and Mike Ledbetter. In Lieu of Flowers the family asks donations be made to the Lake Ouachita Baptist Church. Arrangements were made under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mount Ida, AR.
