    Lloyd “Blue” Hughbanks, age 91, passed away at his home on July 10th. He was born August 8, 1923 in Mt. Ida the “Sweet Home community” to Pink Lee and Maude Hovell Hughbanks. He served in the navy in World War II. He was a farmer and logger for most of his life. In 1946 he married Maedean Lively and they had 3 children. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Maedean Hughbanks, Son-in-Law; Buddy Ross, Sister; Flora and Elmer Howard, Brothers; Bill and Elsie Snow Hughbanks, Forrest and Bernice Jones Hughbanks, Harold and Pearl Apple Hughbanks, Paul and Betty Faulkner Hughbanks, Warren and Lois Short Hughbanks, Nephews; Clyde Hughbanks, Earl Hughbanks and Gerald Hughbanks.

    Son: Billy and Janet Hughbanks of Mount Ida, AR

    Daughters: Reggia Ross of Malvern, AR
    Lynn and William Hackney of Mount Ida, AR

    Granddaughter: DeAnn and Chris Williams of Malvern, AR

    Grandsons: James Ross of Malvern, AR
    John and Jayln Hackney of Mount Ida, AR

    Great- Granddaughter: Whitney Williams of Malvern, AR

    Nephews: Terry Hughbanks of Philo, CA
    Greg Hughbanks of Paradise, CA

    Services will be July 14th, 10:00 a.m. at Thornton Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ronnie Noles officiating. Interment will follow at McKinney Cemetery. Pallbearers: Lloyd Tubbs, Jacob Cogburn, John Hackney, James Ross, Chris Williams, Wendell Adams, Eddie Jones and Jimmy Jones.
