Jeffrey A. Mayberry, 51, affectionately known as “Bub” passed away on September 25, 2015 after fighting a long, hard battle with cancer. He was born on February 21, 1964 to Doris and the late Troy Mayberry.
He is survived by his wife, Christy Mayberry; two daughters, Brandi Cannon (Josh) and Ashleigh Mayberry; one stepson, Chase Prather; his mother, Doris Mayberry; one brother, Mike Mayberry (Sheila); the light of his life, his granddaughter, Lillie Cannon; and his beloved dog Chloe. He also leaves behind many special family members and friends.
The family members wish to express a special thanks to Mindy Farmer, Dr. Fred Divers, and Nurse Melissa Mehalic at Arkansas Hospice.
Honorary pallbearers include: Marty Mayberry (Brookie), Gina Egleston (Gary), Brooks Mayberry, Anson Hamilton, Glen Kelley, Linda Holcomb, and his large group of motorcycle and Boot Scooters friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8pm at Thornton Funeral Home in Mt. Ida. The memorial service will be Wednesday at 2pm at First Baptist Church in Mt. Ida. A private burial at Joplin Cemetery will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Our Promise program through the Genesis Cancer Center.
