  • Wilma E. Tedford, 92, of Mount Ida, AR passed away October 14, 2018 in Mount Ida, AR, at the Montgomery County Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 29, 1926 in Ozark in Franklin County, AR to the late Henry O. and Nellie Odell (Owen) Elder.  She is preceded in death by both her parents, her husband Buster Tedford, daughter Sherry Lambert, sister; Wanda Blackburn, brother; Loyd Elder, granddaughter; Lisa Hill and grandson: Donald Q. Burrow.

    Survivors include her daughters; Wanell (John) Hill, Carolyn (William) Farris, Marilyn (Roben) Irons, Dottie (Donald) Cannon and Teena (Brent) Stipe, sister; Evelyn Bryant, 8 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of other family and friends. Pallbearers will be Cody Gaston, Jacob Hill, Tyler Young, Colton Stipe, Blake Stipe, and Rayce Young.

    Visitation will be Thursday, October 18, 2018 6-8 pm at Thornton Funeral Home.  Service will be Friday, October 19, 2018 2 pm at Faith Tabernacle in Mount Ida with Bro. Don Vaughn and Bro. Josh Harper officiating with burial at Rocky Cemetery in Sims, AR. Services under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida, AR.
