William “Bubby” Rogers, 56, of Oden, AR passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 at home in Oden, AR surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 11, 1962 in Mena, AR to the late Billie L. and Shirley Mae (Carter) Rogers. He is preceded in death by both his parents.
He worked in the log woods where he drove a skidder for many years, once worked on the farm of Glen Campbell, he said Glen had one of the biggest belt buckles he had ever seen, loved his animals, liked to ride his horse, plant a garden, Bubby was a friend to everyone.
Survivors include his wife; Lela (Singleton) Rogers, one son Billy Lon (Jessie) Rogers, grandchildren; Jada Elder and Josie Elder, two brothers; Jeff (Jennifer) Rogers and Robert Rogers, one sister Debbie (Steve) Wedge, as well several nieces and nephews along with a host of other family and friends.
Memorial service will be at a later date. Services under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida, AR. Guest register at www.thorntonfh.com.
